This 7-hour online program will focus on the mechanics of demonstration appraisal report writing and will help ensure that the appraiser’s presentation is logical and understandable. The program will also provide an extensive examination of the cost, sales comparison and income capitalization approaches; highest and best use; reconciliation and the final value opinion. This program is a prerequisite for the MAI General Demonstration Report Capstone program.

Learning Objectives
• The purpose of the demonstration of knowledge appraisal report admissions requirement.
• The suggested timing in the associate designation path when this admissions requirement should be challenged.
• Requirements for a successful demonstration appraisal report.
• Selection of a subject property that provides the optimal opportunity for success.
• The type of market information required.
• How the report should be prepared.
• How the completed report should be submitted for grading.
• The technical grading process.
• Revision and resubmission of an initial submission that did not receive a satisfactory technical grade.
• The factual verification process for submissions that have received a satisfactory technical grade.

Candidates of the Appraisal Institute are encouraged to complete the program before beginning their demonstration report. Completion is mandatory for Candidates wishing to apply for the E-Demo or register for the Capstone Program. Additionally, those Candidates who have never taken the program and need to revise and resubmit their demo report must complete this program first. Designated Members are encouraged to enroll at any time.

Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to complete an online program once it begins, you may cancel out of the program within 30 days after the official end date. Absolutely no cancellations will be processed after 30 days of the official end date. Once you cancel out of a program, you must start the program over at the beginning in any later enrollments. You cannot be placed into the program where you left off before canceling.

The following refund policy is in effect for canceled online programs based on the amount of material completed in a program:

 Less than 25% of the program completed: $60 cancellation fee

 More than 25% of the program completed: no refund

I further understand that if I am a member of the Appraisal Institute and participated in any misrepresentation of identity, by affirmative act or failure to act, that I will be the subject of a peer review proceeding under Regulation No. 6 for violation of the Appraisal Institute's Code of Professional Ethics and Standard of Professional Appraisal Practice, and that such peer review proceeding may result in termination of my Appraisal Institute membership.
