Parking is a critical component for most real estate properties and also represents a valuable stand-alone investment. This seminar will present an overview of this often misunderstood industry and explore the various intricacies of parking from a zoning and market perspective and how this affects value. The program will cover parking rates ranging from the national level down to the State of Florida and South Florida. Specific valuation procedures applicable to parking facilities will be presented. The seminar will wrap-up with a coverage of hot topics such as automated garages, the impact of car sharing services like Uber and Lyft, and how autonomous cars may disrupt the parking industry.

State CE Credit: This class is only approved for Florida Real Estate Appraisal Board continuing education credit. For other states, you should determine current education approval and requirements.

Seminar materials will be distributed at class.

NOTE: A Meet & Greet reception will be held following the seminar in support of Matt Caldwell for Agriculture Commissioner. The reception will be held from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Rusty Pelican. This is a free event. Appetizers will be provided and a cash bar will be available.
