Steve Brown, Real Estate Editor at the Dallas Morning News, will discuss the impact on the surrounding community, housing, demographics, retail and economy of the potential Amazon and Google developments. He will also discuss the best locations in the Metroplex for the developments and Dallas’ chances of winning the bids. Steve will also present residential market projections for 2018-2019.

Tim Glass, AICP, Director of Strategic Planning for the Las Colinas Association, will discuss development of the Toyota Music Factory, its economic impact and detailed information about the facility.

  • Less than 1 day prior to program start date, forfeit of payment.
Registration fee, less $5.00 processing fee, will be refunded for cancellations submitted in writing up to 24 hours prior to the start of program. No refund for cancellations submitted less than 24 hours prior to start of program. No shows will be billed for the full registration fee.

The Appraisal Institute enforces attendance requirements mandated by state licensing and certification regulatory agencies. The Appraisal Institute issues certificates for state certification/licensing or state continuing education credit that verify successful completion and attendance of 100% with your course grade notification letter; 100% attendance is required at seminars to receive continuing education credit. North Texas Chapter members may attend the program free of charge if they do not eat a meal or apply for continuing education credit.

In consideration of all Chapter members, the Board members would like to have your input about Royal Oaks Country Club. Therefore you are encouraged to attend the May 8 meeting, check out the new facility, and respond to a short survey after the meeting about your impression of the venue, including food, location, acoustics, etc.
