Enroll in Review Case Studies—General and come prepared for the challenge of applying the review process and other concepts covered in Review Theory—General. You will enhance your review skills by preparing two required review reports based on two case studies that present some of the issues reviewers face in review assignments. For each case study, you will develop opinions on the completeness, accuracy, adequacy, relevance, reasonableness, appropriateness, and credibility of another appraiser’s work and then communicate your opinions in a review report you design and draft yourself. By preparing written review reports based on the case studies, you will gain confidence in the application of review techniques. This course will be beneficial for appraisers and other real estate professionals who regularly work with appraisals and reviews.

Upon completion of the course, participants should be able to:
• Effectively develop and communicate opinions of completeness, accuracy, adequacy, relevance, reasonableness, appropriateness, credibility, and reasons for disagreement
• Evaluate appraisal errors to distinguish whether they are trivial or material from a review perspective
• Approach a review assignment and determine on your own what makes a review good
• Create an appropriate review format based on the context of the assignment

Review Case Studies—General builds on the concepts presented in Review Theory—General, a required course in the Appraisal Institute General Review Designation program (AI-GRS Appraisal Institute General Review Specialist). COURSE/SEMINAR ATTENDANCE - Don't be late! One hundred percent (100%) is required for all Appraisal Institute education programs. This follows Appraiser Qualification Board minimum criteria requirements. Students should not be late or leave early. If the Appraisal Institute attendance records indicate attendance of less than 100%, the student's certificate will reflect this, and state agencies may refuse to award credit.

COMPLETION CERTIFICATES: For scannable exams, written notification or results will be sent via email to the examinee approximately 15 business days from the date of receipt of the exams at the national office. Certificates of completion for Seminars will be distributed at the conclusion of the class or e-mailed to you. Express Grading for scannable exams is available - for more information about Express Grading, contact the Appraisal Institute National office at 312.335.4207.
A non-secured laptop computer with word processing and spreadsheet programs is required for this course. Students must be able to upload documents from their laptop to an external location or flash drive. If you will be bringing an institutional laptop, prior to coming to class, please check to make sure you have this capability.

Upon completion of registration, you will receive an enrollment confirmation/receipt via e-mail. Look out for the e-mail and save it for future reference via a print out or save to your smartphone.

To receive credit, 100% attendance is required for all Appraisal Institute education programs. Students who are late or leave early will not receive credit. The Minnesota Department of Commerce requires 100% attendance. Partial credit is not awarded.

EXAM GRADING POLICY (5-7 Business Days):
The Appraisal Institute's national office will e-mail exam results and certificates of attendance to the students within 5 - 7 business days from the date the exams are received at the National Appraisal Institute office.
