Parking is a critical component for most real estate properties and also represents a valuable stand-alone investment. This seminar will present an overview of this often misunderstood industry and explore the various intricacies of parking from a zoning and market perspective and how this affects value. The program will cover parking rates ranging from the national level down to the State of Tennessee. Specific valuation procedures applicable to parking facilities will be presented. The seminar will wrap-up with a coverage of hot topics such as automated garages, the impact of car sharing services like Uber and Lyft, and how autonomous cars may disrupt the parking industry.
