  Description  

This one-day introduction course focuses on the evolution of green buildings, the concept of sustainability in buildings, and the principles, practices, and components that distinguish sustainable from conventional buildings.

Upon completion of the course, participants should be able to:
• Recognize competency and standards implications of appraising green buildings
• Understand the evolution of green buildings
• Understand the six elements of green building
• Identify benefits and costs of green buildings
• Recognize the green building certification and ratings programs for energy conservation and sustainability
• Understand the primary areas of green reporting
• Understand highest and best use implications
• Consider the three approaches to value in context of green buildings.

Cancellation Policy
  • Up To 15 days prior to program start date, $25.00 cancellation fee.
  • 7 - 14 days prior to program start date, $50.00 cancellation fee.
  • Less than 7 days prior to program start date, forfeit of payment.
  Transfer Policy
  • Up To 15 days prior to program start date, $5.00 transfer fee.
  • 1 - 14 days prior to program start date, $25.00 transfer fee.
  • Less than 1 day prior to program start date, no transfer allowed.
   
Cancellations
All cancellations must be received in writing. There is a minimum $25 cancel fee before materials are shipped and the cost of credit card processing fees. After materials are shipped there is a $50 cancel fee. No refund for cancellations within 7 days of the course. The chapter reserves the right to cancel the course due to lack of enrollment, inclement weather, etc., with full refund issued less cost of materials already shipped. Prices subject to change without notice.

Materials will be available for pick-up during registration, UNLESS a SAVINGS of $15 is preferred and the "Download Materials" Option is chosen.
If the download option is chosen, please do not forget to bring the materials with you as none will be available on site.

Attendance Policy
The Appraisal Institute and the AQB require full attendance (100%) at the course.
If the attendance roster reflects less than 100%, it could/will show up on the roster submission to the states.
