  Description  
Valuation methods vary depending on intended use and user related to property rights. Learn about the history of property rights in the United States and how they are valued under different intended uses for appraisals. Gain a thorough understanding of how buyer motivations, toward property, can affect the value of real estate. Through a series of examples, discussions and observed scenarios, learn how the value of both residential and commercial properties will change with varying exceptions. The Dark Store theory is addressed, including the history and misunderstandings about the theory, and examples of sale lease-back transactions and build-to-suit transactions may change the motivations of the typical buyer. Enhance your understanding of how highest and best use relates to property rights through several case studies.

Cancellation Policy
  • Up To 15 days prior to program start date, $30.00 cancellation fee.
  • 7 - 14 days prior to program start date, $50.00 cancellation fee.
  • Less than 7 days prior to program start date, forfeit of payment.
       
Special Note
Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis. The Ohio Chapter reserves the right to cancel this course if the minimum enrollment level is not reached. The chapter recommends that students reserve their hotel room directly with the hotel where the courses are being held and not with a third-party reservation service. In the case of a cancellation, by booking directly with the recommended hotel you may typically cancel your hotel room within 24+ hours of the reservation with no cancellation fee. Students are responsible for their own hotel and airline fees in the event of a cancellation.

Attendance requirements mandated by the state of Ohio will be strictly enforced. Certificates will be issued to those in attendance for 100% of the course hours or better. If you have a disability and may require some accommodation, please notify us in writing at least 2 weeks in advance and we will arrange for reasonable accommodation.

Program materials can be downloaded by the student or can be shipped directly to the student. If you choose to have the material shipped and do not receive your materials within 5 days before the offering start date, please call the sponsor to inform them.
