2019 Annual Conference Call for Presentations

Presentation Proposals

The Appraisal Institute is looking for innovative, highly skilled presenters who can address issues and topics of interest to the valuation profession at the 2019 Annual Conference to be held at the Hyatt Regency Denver, July 22 – 24, 2019. The theme for the conference is "Climbing Even Higher".

We are looking for dynamic speakers who can balance their knowledge with creativity. Our ideal presenter should focus on encouraging participation from the attendees and develop interactive sessions. Emphasis will be given to presentations and panels that include users of appraisal services, government officials, or real estate industry leaders or focus on cutting-edge or pressing industry or client issues. Submissions must include full contact information, bio(s), presentation title and presentation abstract. The deadline to submit is December 3, 2018.

All submissions will be considered. To give you an idea of what our attendees are looking for, here are some of the most well-received and requested topics:

  • Appraisal Data and Technology Issues
  • Sustainability in Real Estate
  • Residential Practices & Issues
  • Market Analysis
  • International Valuation

  • Supervisor/Trainee Education
  • Valuation of Cannabis Operations & Dispensaries

Before submitting your presentation, please note the following:

  • Breakout sessions are currently planned for Monday, July 22 at 10:30 am, 1:30 pm and 3:30 pm and on Tuesday, July 23 at 10:00 am, 1:30 pm and 3:30 pm.
  • Each breakout session is scheduled to last 90 minutes.
  • A maximum of 5 breakout sessions will be offered during each time slot.
  • The maximum number of presenters per session is three.
  • Please provide email addresses for all co-presenters so that we may communicate key details with each of you.
  • Only one application should be submitted for each proposed presentation.
  • Please complete all fields in the form.
  • Selected presenters will receive complimentary registration for the day of their presentation only. Discounted registration rates will be available if you plan to attend the entire conference.
  • All submissions must be received by 5:00 pm CST, Friday, December 3, 2018. Incomplete or late submissions will not be considered.
  • Presenters will be notified by January 21, 2019 if their presentation has been accepted or not.
  • Selected presenters will be required to sign a speaker agreement before arrival in Denver.
